I’m going to be a sap and talk about my Valentine’s Day.
I waited for what seemed like forever for him to pick me up. When he finally arrived he had a dozen roses in his hand and a silver bag. The roses were all white, my favorite, with one red one which he said was to say “I love you”. We exchanged gifts and he got me oil paint (which I needed) and chocolate and a Starbucks coffee tumbler. Then it was time to go, I was so excited because I had no idea what he had planned for the day. He took me to the movies and we saw The Vow, I had been wanting to see it so badly and I was happy that he listened. To be honest, I didn’t really like the movie that much and I don’t think he did either. But it wasn’t too bad. After that we walked around the marina. We were walking on the bridge and I kept leaning over to look at the water and when we got to the end of it I noticed that there was a secluded spot right below and in the sand there was writing by the shore. The first thing I saw was a heart with S+M in it and I turned to him, smiling and all excited, about to say “Look! It’s like Sean and Michelle!” when I looked at it again and realized that under the S+M it said 11-20, our anniversary date. Underneath that was “I love you” in big letters. I gasped and was so surprised. I couldn’t believe it, it was adorable. So we got off the bridge and went down to where the writing was and had a picnic. People on the bridge above us saw the writing and us and thought it was cute and asked if they could take a picture. I can’t explain how I felt during this, happy doesn’t even cover it. It was perfect. After that we went to the beach and watched the sunset while we ate chocolate covered strawberries. I honestly felt like the luckiest girl in the world. He surprised me again by taking me to one of my favorite restaurants and made me promise to get whatever I wanted and not worry about the price. We went to his house after that where he spoiled me some more. All the sweet things you see on TV shows and movies for Valentine’s Day that you think would never happen to you was actually happening to me. It was the best Valentine’s Day I’ve ever had. He tried hard to make it special for me and he put a lot of effort into timing it just right and it was amazing. I love that boy.
